My wife and I are from NY, but just moved to Long Island City near the water. We live a couple of blocks from the dog park on Vernon. We thought it might be easier to schedule meetups so that our dogs could play with lots of other dogs in the area. The purpose of this group is to provide socialization and play time for small dogs under 12 pounds in a safe indoor venue. We will meet periodically in various Dog Day care Centers around Manhattan. This group is a play group only that is geared toward the shy dog who needs to gain socialization skills, active dogs who need more play time with other dogs, puppies who need to learn to play with other dogs and owners who wish to socialize their dogs and meet with other dog owners.

We are a group of Astorians who own/love dogs and we are on a mission to restore Bugsy's Dog Run at Astoria Park. Most of the legalities are done, we are just waiting for final approval, and then we will raise funds and get to work!
