June 19, 2010 a fire started south of the I-40 in Flagstaff Az. Within hours a small 300 acre fire forced the mandatory evacuation of guests of the Little America Hotel, the Coconino Humane Association and four communities’ residents, pets and other animals. The Mesa East Lions Club's is a volunteer, community service organization. We serve the community by providing glasses, hearing aids, and braille readers for needy children and even leader dogs for the blind. We actively support the Boys & Girls Club and Ronald McDonald House. We send care service packages to servicemen. We also do various social events. The group is open to people 18+ years old who have a heart for community service.

It's hard getting to know new people, but you will be so glad you did.
