Hometown: Columbia

Location: Columbia, MO us

Introduction:
"I stay home with my 4 year-old. We have a big back yard where he and Bono can play. There is a lasaa apso who shares our yard, and they're both estatic to see him. My 11 year-old and their dad love animals, too and will attend the meet ups with us"
What food do you feed your dog(s)?
"Purina Puppy Chow since we brought him home in Dec- but we're switching to Science Diet Large Breed Puppy with the next bag."
What breed is your dog(s)?
"Bono was a stray, brought in by a rescue in Kentucky. We found him on Petfinder.com, listed as a Great Pyr. He only has single dew claws on the back, so he's not a purebred. He loves cats and kids, snores and barks at night, so he's close :)"
What is the most unique thing about your dog(s)?
"Bono's very much a "gentle giant." His back is about 28" tall, but he will play gently with a 6 week-old puppy. He loves kids because they tend to pet him without stop :)"
What is your dog's favorite toy?
"Bono likes anything that's thrown (including toys my 4 year old inappropriately throws, not intending to play fetch.) His favorite are xl ruffians squeekys. "
What is your dog's name?
"Bono (like from U2), as named by the rescue where we adopted him. We've U2 fans, so this fits, well :)"

"Dogs ranged from tiny chiahuas to a 150lbish Great Pyrenese- and everyone was able to seek out their own style of enjoyment. Some were rough- and- tumble playing together, some were enjoying being petted by new human friends. It really was like a dog party :) It was great for me to meet some other big dog owners, and talk about bathing tips. It was nice to be around other people, in general, who took joy in watching all of the dogs swimming, chasing tennis balls and sticks- running around together. 'People who didn't mind getting shed or slobberred on :) My 4 year-old came, too, and loved playing with, and watching the dogs :)"
