It's time again for Yappy Hour @ the Walnut Room! The Walnut Room has a great selection of gourmet sandwiches & large, thin-crust pizzas. Not to mention a full bar (!!) Most nights, they also have live music inside their exceptional concert hall. This bar is truly dog-friendly, and allows dogs to lounge freely on the patio!! Proper!

Yappy Hour will begin at 4 pm and will end when it ends. Come out for a righteous good time partyin' with dogs and dog-lovers!

RSVP

Just so it's clear, please RSVP for HUMAN BEINGS ONLY. This gives us a more accurate head count for the event, which is important for its organization. If you like, you can state the number of dogs you're bringing in your comments area.

PYOW

Unlike many of our other events, which are BYOB, this event is pay-your-own-way, or PYOW, as I likes to call it. What you drink/eat, you pay for. Simple. And don't forget the tip. Although we're providing The Walnut Room a lot of business on a Sunday, it's actually quite hard to find a bar that is so accommodating to dogs. Let's try to make this bar happy so we're welcome back for more yappy hour events in the future.

EVENT FEE

In order to cover the cost of organizing (organizers have to pay a monthly fee to Meetup.com), doggie treats, gas, time, promotions, etc., I'll be collecting $5.00 from each person who attends. It would be nice if you find me when you arrive, rather than force me to track you down. This is a social club, not a business, so it's rather uncomfortable for me to ask people for money.

If you just don't want to deal with it, you can pay in advance via internet with PayPal. Please use the PayPal link above. Thanks in advance for your contribution to help keep this group running.

MIND YOUR DOG

An enclosed patio means leash-free goodness, so a lot of work is taken off your hands. Still, be aware that a bar is not traditionally a dog-friendly environment. Denver health code strictly forbids dogs inside any establishment that serves food, under penalty of loss of license. There are no servers out on the patio, so you have to go inside to order. Hence the door to the bar will be open much of the time. Just so it's explicitly stated: MIND YOUR DOG. Keep your other eye on it and please don't let your dog wander into the bar. Don't forget!

Along the same vein, also be aware that bars provide a lot for humans, but little for dogs. We need to be responsible for making sure all dogs are taken care of. Be aware that you're responsible for any mess your dog makes. In such an exciting environment, even the best-behaved dogs have been known to lose bodily function. It's a good idea to bring along poop bags and/or paper towels.

SEE YA THERE

Bar events are easy & fun! The food, drinks, music, & service is provided for you, and i handle doggy needs, so you don't have to do much but show up. The Walnut Room is truly a hip joint with great music, food, & atmosphere! Plus a nice, BIG enclosed patio for dogs! Not to mention LOTS of parking. See ya there!
