About this Meetup

For tailwaggin fun join us with your canine companion.

"Mutts" about Walking is a program of PAWS Columbus, Inc. for dog owners who enjoy walking and hiking with their canine friends. We strongly believe that socializing with our dogs is a very important part of a safe and happy human-canine relationship.

Our walks are scheduled for Sunday Afternoons at Cooper Creek Park. We will start at 4:00pm and walk for about 1 hour. Our first walk will be on October 15th. Occasionally we will schedule weekend nature hikes in places such as Pine Mountian.
Use your own judgment regarding weather for appropriate clothing.

Walking with your dog not only strengthens the bond between you and your pet, it fulfills their need for social interaction, possitive attention, and mental stimulation.

We encourage you to snoop out our guidelines and join us!

All well-behaved dogs are welcomed!

We know you will be barking with excitement but encourage safety and ask that these guidelines be followed:

  • Dogs must be kept on leash and under control at all times.

  • Your dog's droppings must be picked up so bring "poopie" bags.

  • Your dog should be up-to date on immunizations and appropriate city license (to keep your puppy safe, they need to be 16 weeks or older and have completed their series of puppy shots).

  • Your dog should wear ID tags with current contact information.

  • Observe your dog's health condition during the walk.

  • Bring water for both you and your dog.

  • If your dog is scared or nervous around other dogs they can walk behind the pack until they can become more relaxed.
  • Make sure nobody gets left behind.

  • [Members participate at their own risk! PAWS Columbus is not responsible for any injuries and/or losses.

  • Have fun!!!

"A tired dog is a happy dog".

The flagpole in Cooper Creek is the place to meet and put our feet and paws to the pavement for exercise and fun!
