Introduction
I am looking for a group of folks to go hiking and camping with with my dog, Zoey, a 3 y/o Wheaten terrier.
Please describe the dog(s) you own: name, breed, age, sex, etc... so we can get to know a little more about our new pack member(s)!
I own a 3 year old female Wheaten terrier. I've had her since she was one. She is a little skittish. She's fine with other dogs, but wary of other grownups. Not aggressive, but scared.
What are you looking for in a trail club? Describe what you hope to get out of the group and what can you contribute to the group.
My dog and I love to camp and hike. I know of a few good spots that I'm happy to take others too but am looking for more. I'm looking for friendships and company in the wilderness. I have some backpacking and cooking outdoors experience.
What does your ideal day outdoors involve? Please give the name and location of your favorite local hike or walk and describe the trail for us. Is it rocky, is there much elevation change, does it involve water, etc...
An ideal day is a hike in Shenandoah National Park and then camping afterwards. The nearest campsite is Mathews Arm. There's a trailhead from the campsite to a trail with some elevation, though not too much, that leads to a waterfall. Few streams
Have you and your dog(s) earned any titles or are you working towards any titles? Agility, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), working dog, pack dog, water dog, therapy dog, etc... ???
My daughter and I were working w/ her through Woofs, but the trainer told us that the stress of the situation was too much for Zoey.

Hi Victoria! We had so much fun this past weekend, and it was wonderful meeting you and pretty Zoe. Seriously, one of the best parts for me was when she jumped right in with the other dogs to get a treat by the camp fire. Anyway, we hope to see the both of you at some future events!
