Set your clocks BACK and let's move forward! We're trying to get the most of our Fall weekends before winter sets in. So this Meetup we're going for a walk with our dogs.

Beautiful Natirar (Raritan spelled backwards) is located on Rt. 512, in Peapack-Gladstone NJ. Here's an article giving the background of the estate, and one of the photos shows the type of path we will be walking. It is a flat, smooth 1.5 mile loop. There's also a map giving directions. You can email me if you need more specific information, but it is easy to find via Rt. 287 and Rt. 202/206 North. The estate is on the road from Far Hills, passed the Fair Grounds.

Since this gathering is an outdoor event, it will be held weather-permitting. So as time gets closer to November 1st, I'll be checking the weather forecast and will alert you as to the status.

There are four small parking lots. Let's plan to park in the lot behind the barns. It is more private and will allow us to unload and load the dogs from the vehicles without distractions.

There are a few picnic tables and plenty of grass. You are welcomed to come and sit at a table with your dog while the others walk the loop. If I bring my old Rudi and/or Sophie, I'll be sitting most of it out, so you can join me! After the walk, everyone can gather and have a bite to eat, as we have been accustomed to do at our meetups.

NOTE: Patricia has offered to provide finger sandwiches and apple cider for us people so no one else needs to bring any food or beverage unless you so desire. As usual, there will be nibbles for the dogs, too.

This meetup is FREE. This is the last meetup for NJ Party Animals until 2010 because we'll be busy for the holidays. As I have mentioned before, if anyone wants to order any Frieda's Favorites treats for holiday gifts, please check my welbsite and email me. I will bring them along to the meetup.

We're having a run of lovely weather now. Let's all do our Sun Dance for November 1st.
Don't forget to RSVP!

One other thing..... DOGS MUST BE ON-LEASH at all times. NO EXPANSION LEASHES, please. This is a public park, not a dog park. People walk the loop with their dogs. People walk the loop alone. So your dog must be consistently in your control. If your dog does not walk well on leash, or if your dog is not accustomed to walking 1.5 miles, you might want to sit out the walk with me! love struck

See you soon!

    •  This was a really different, really terrific meetup -- beautiful location with a lovely path to walk. We even had a private parking area where we were able to enjoy a tailgate picnic with the sun shining on us eventually. Thanks, Pat, for the sandwiches, coffee, desserts, cider, and even a hand-sewn table cloth! Thanks to Diane and Roseann for surprise desserts, too! And thanks to Jessica and Ceil for joining in the fun! This was the best way we could have ended our 2009 meetups. We will definitely plan on meeting again at Natirar in the Spring! Happy Thanksgiving, all! I am definitely thankful for our terrific meetup members and their wonderful pups!
    •  Wish my knees and back cooperated to let me do the whole walk. Had a good time as usual. Good food, friends, fun, what could be better? The pups got to enjoy exercise and Frieda's Homemade yummy treats.
    •  Honey and I had a very enjoyable walk on a very scenic trail. After our walk, we had a delicious picnic "tailgate" style. All-in-all it was a fun afternoon.
    •  This was a FANTASTIC WALK! Great group of people, dogs are well behaved and Clare always puts on a wonderful party. I want to Thank Everyone for the last Meetup too.... since I got sick and couldn't go at the last minute..... everyone came together and brought food and contributed to the Plainfield Area Humane Society. I was really touched by everyone especially when I wanted to be there but didn't want anyone else to get the flu from me. I would definitely come back to this venue.... next time I'll pack some chairs also to sit on for our tailgating party. Thank You Clare and everyone for a year of Great Meetups! Happy Holidays!

Alot of fun but I wasn't dressed warm enough...I should have had my sweater put on...Natirar is beautiful and the TAILgating was amazing by the Waterfall...I loved my pumpkin cupcake from Freidas Faves and the lean turkey snacks Pat bought....DELICIOUS!!!! There was cake, sandwiches from Pat and very rich brownies...I think that was Diane? Cookies too...just unbelievable and great company walking the wide trails on the estate! Jersey should be a role model for adaptibility and finally we got to celebrate Nico's Bday (He Glows!)
