Set your clocks BACK and let's move forward! We're trying to get the most of our Fall weekends before winter sets in. So this Meetup we're going for a walk with our dogs.
Beautiful Natirar (Raritan spelled backwards) is located on Rt. 512, in Peapack-Gladstone NJ. Here's an article giving the background of the estate, and one of the photos shows the type of path we will be walking. It is a flat, smooth 1.5 mile loop. There's also a map giving directions. You can email me if you need more specific information, but it is easy to find via Rt. 287 and Rt. 202/206 North. The estate is on the road from Far Hills, passed the Fair Grounds.

Since this gathering is an outdoor event, it will be held weather-permitting. So as time gets closer to November 1st, I'll be checking the weather forecast and will alert you as to the status.
There are four small parking lots. Let's plan to park in the lot behind the barns. It is more private and will allow us to unload and load the dogs from the vehicles without distractions.
There are a few picnic tables and plenty of grass. You are welcomed to come and sit at a table with your dog while the others walk the loop. If I bring my old Rudi and/or Sophie, I'll be sitting most of it out, so you can join me! After the walk, everyone can gather and have a bite to eat, as we have been accustomed to do at our meetups.
NOTE: Patricia has offered to provide finger sandwiches and apple cider for us people so no one else needs to bring any food or beverage unless you so desire. As usual, there will be nibbles for the dogs, too.
This meetup is FREE. This is the last meetup for NJ Party Animals until 2010 because we'll be busy for the holidays. As I have mentioned before, if anyone wants to order any Frieda's Favorites treats for holiday gifts, please check my welbsite and email me. I will bring them along to the meetup.

We're having a run of lovely weather now. Let's all do our Sun Dance for November 1st.
Don't forget to RSVP!
One other thing..... DOGS MUST BE ON-LEASH at all times. NO EXPANSION LEASHES, please. This is a public park, not a dog park. People walk the loop with their dogs. People walk the loop alone. So your dog must be consistently in your control. If your dog does not walk well on leash, or if your dog is not accustomed to walking 1.5 miles, you might want to sit out the walk with me!
See you soon!
Claire
